Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Getup ("we", "us") collects, why, and your choices. We keep data collection to what the app needs to work.

Information we collect

• Account — your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Wardrobe — the clothing items and preferences you add to your wardrobe.
• Location — the city or approximate location you set, used to fetch local weather for outfit suggestions. We do not track continuous or background location.
• Notifications — a push-notification token, so we can send your daily outfit if you enable notifications.
• Usage — basic in-app events (e.g. outfits generated, features used) to understand and improve the product.

How we use your information

To provide the service — generate outfit suggestions, show local weather, send the optional daily outfit notification — and to maintain, secure, and improve the app.

Service providers

We share the minimum necessary with processors that run the service:

• Hosting — our application and database are hosted on Railway.
• Weather — your city/coordinates are sent to OpenWeatherMap to retrieve forecasts.
• Push notifications — delivered via Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) and the Apple Push Notification service (iOS).

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, we do not show ads, and we do not sell your personal data.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete account), or via our support page. Deletion is permanent.

Security

Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and traffic is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

Children

Getup is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
